Important information about the application form
Both current and prospective students of La Trobe University, Bundoora are eligible to apply for accommodation at our residences. The application form is simple. It’s online!
When applying we ask that you complete the application with as much detail as possible. Entry into student residence is competitive, so it is worthwhile putting effort into your application. You will be asked a series of questions, such as:
- Accommodation preferences
- Contact details for you and your next of kin
- Your student status
- Previous, current and/or intended course of studies
You will also be asked to write a 'personal essay' describing why you wish to live in your accommodation preference, what contributions you could make to residential life, what benefits you would expect to get from living in a college, residential hall or apartment and any special interests you have or achievements you may have obtained.
If you are a full fee paying/International, deferred or a non-VTAC offered student, you will be required to send a copy of your La Trobe University offer to us to complete the application process. At the end of the application you will be asked to pay an application fee - $35AUD. This is an online only payment. Cheques, bank drafts, cash and or money orders will not be accepted.

- Residential Accommodation - Online application form
- Note: Barnes Way and Waterdale Apartments are recommended for a range of mature aged students and their families and occasionally staff. Prospective tenants need to apply as a group and be available to inspect the apartment.
- Note: Graduate House and The University Lodge are recommended for post graduate students.
NB. You must have a valid email address as all initial correspondence will be via email.
