Albury-Wodonga initiatives

The Albury-Wodonga Green Team

The Albury-Wodonga Green Team aims to lead the campus and community in environmentally  aware resource management.

Waste Management is the team’s focus for 2009, promoting the key concepts:

  • Reduce
  • Re-use
  • Recycle

Waste management on campus

The Green Team encourages sustainability through initiatives in several key areas.

Paper
Waste-paper boxes are in each department near the photocopier or printer.

Cardboard
Recycled  boxes are available for use. La Trobe staff and students are emailed when there are plenty in stock. A recycling bin for boxes is in the service road next to Building 4.

Glass and plastic
Six new recycling bins are around campus. Do your bit by separating your recyclables from your rubbish.

Printer and photocopier cartridges
Any Fuji Xerox photocopier toners can be given to Rachel (in DEME office, Room 4116, Building 4) for recycling.

Clothing
A St Vincent de Paul clothing collection bin can be found in the service road next to Building 4.

About the Green Team
