The Vice-President (Operations)/Chief Operating Officer, Mr David Ensor, is responsible for the establishment of a strong service operation in support of all La Trobe University stakeholders. He leads corporate services and ensures it has sufficient capability and an effective service orientation, including leadership and management of:

• Corporate Services Division comprising Planning; Performance and Review; Legal and Governance Services; development and management of institutional knowledge; Risk Management (including internal audit; workplace health and safety; security; critical incident management, insurance and compliance), and Continuous Improvement and Business Intelligence projects. 
• Office of the Vice-Chancellor (OVC) to initiate and drive the University’s institution-wide strategic activities, to source major external grants and philanthropic support, to provide high-level, professional support to La Trobe’s senior executives and to develop and maintain effective external relations with government and higher education sector networks.
• Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) ensures that the leadership, management and development of the University’s physical resources support the effective achievement of Divisional goals and objectives tin accordance with the University’s Strategic Plan.
• Residential Services.
• Successful implementation and achievement of the relevant portfolio outcomes outlined in the University’s Strategic and Operational Plans.
