Mr David Ensor is Chief of Staff (External Relations) to the Vice-Chancellor at La Trobe University.

As Chief of Staff, David leads and manages key projects and provides direct support to the Vice-Chancellor in achieving the Strategic Plan of the University. Specifically, David has broad responsibility for supporting the development of strategy; major government grants; alumni; philanthropy and government relations.

David has held a number of senior management roles at La Trobe including Vice-President (Operations), Project Director of the $288 million AgrioBio Centre for Agribiosciences and at the Bendigo Campus, was centrally involved in the establishment of the Centre for Sustainable Regional Communities.

With extensive local and international project management experience in the development sector, David has previously held the positions of Chief Executive Officer of a nationally recognised adult education NGO in South Africa, and as Acting National Director/Deputy National Director of the European Union Parliamentary Support Program.
