About the Foundation
The La Trobe University Foundation was established in 2007 to assist the University in supporting its mission to its students and the communities it seeks to serve.
Today we invite you to continue the tradition by supporting the University. Please contact the Alumni and Advancement Office if you would like to discuss - with complete confidentiality - how your gift to the University can have the greatest impact.
You can support major projects, scholarships for students or research.
Types of gifts
The following are common methods people choose to make gifts. Please contact the Alumni and Advancement Office for additional ways to give.
- Cash Gifts - Outright cash gifts can be made via credit card at our online secure site or through cheques or credit card via fax or mail (download Giving Form [PDF 133KB]).
- Pledges – La Trobe University welcomes your gift through a pledge - a formal statement of intention to make a gift, at intervals convenient to the donor. A pledge often allows donors to make a more generous gift through payments over time.
- Major Gifts - You may also choose to make a special gift to a particular initiative, such as an endowment to support a specified area in perpetuity.
- Bequests - By including La Trobe University in your Will, you can pass on support from your remaining estate. We encourage those who include the University in their Will to inform the Alumni and Advancement Office so such support can be acknowledged and recognised during their lifetime.
The University is a certified Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR), and all gifts to the University of $2.00 or more are tax deductible for Australian tax purposes.
